Not Enough Games, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Also Remastered This film also gets a remaster.
This one film also gets a remaster.
Despite failing in the world of film and almost going bankrupt because of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Square, which decided to join Enix to become Square-Enix, again tried its luck in the film with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
The CGI film, which was released in 2005 and directed by Tetsuya Nomura, is one of the highest grossing films of the series. His DVD which was sold in 2009 even sold more than 4.1 million units.
The fans' madness for Final Fantasy VII made Square-Enix an effective cash machine when they were in financial trouble. This is proven by the presence of Final Fantasy VII: Remake which is then followed by the spin-off game on smartphones.
Sure enough, it not only brings nostalgia, but fantastic advantages. The game has even been nominated for various award shows even though the first part has only been released.
However, it seems that the delivery doesn't stop at the game, but also in the film. Recently Square-Enix and Sony Pictures announced that they will re-release the CGI Final Fantasy VII film: Advent Children remastered on blu-ray with 4K resolution.
This BD version will have dual audio in both English and Japanese, complete with English subtitles. They plan to release it in June 2021, to be precise on June 8, 2021.
