The Outlast Trials For New Enemy Artwork
Introduced and immediately sparking interest, Red Barrels' effort to expand the universe of its flagship horror game - Outlast, not only from the Lore series but also from the gameplay, certainly attracted its own attention. The project will certainly carry the name The Outlast Trials with a cooperative multiplayer concept. This means, you will struggle to survive and run from the chase of frightening enemies together with other players. Introduced through a short teaser, unfortunately this game actually ended up sinking. But take it easy, that doesn't mean Red Barrels isn't busy completing it.
After being calm for quite a long time, Red Barrels finally shared a little information via the official Twitter account. They admitted that they were working diligently to formulate The Outlast Trials. For now they don't have a definite release window yet but promise to announce it as soon as they're ready. Red Barrels admits that it has grown into a team of 40 people, who are currently working while adapting to situations related to the pandemic. Unfortunately, they did not announce an official name for this new enemy variant.
Outlast Trials itself had written 2021 as a release target. It is unclear whether the plan will be retained by the Red Barrels or not.
