Beautiful Mai Shiranui Returns to King of Fighters XV
Andy Bogard's girlfriend is back too.
"Unifying the nation" is an appropriate sentence to represent Mai Shiranui. The original character of Fatal Fury is a kunoichi or female ninja with her signature minimalist dress, complete with her pretty face. He also became the girlfriend of Andy Bogard, the younger brother of Terry Bogard and often joked with him when it came to fighting him in games.
Mai and several other Fatal Fury characters also had time to enter SNK's other games, one of the most famous being King of Fighters. He is a regular character who is almost never absent in every series. Now, he's back in a new iteration of the game.
SNK announced that Mai Shiranui would return to King of Fighters XV. In the trailer, it shows the various movements that are typical of these sensual ninja, including how the Shiranui style moves that he mastered like Ryu en bu and others.
Mai's presence is not a surprise, because she has actually been included in several other Fatal Fury character trailers for King of Fighters XV. But this time he just got his own trailer.
Currently it is not clear which team Mai Shiranui will fight with. But of course SNK will immediately announce it when it's ready. Previously he was paired with King, Kasumi, Andy, Yuri, and Blue Mary. However, with Andy currently with Terry and Joe, it is likely that Mai will join the women's team as usual.
King of Fighters XV is scheduled to be released in 2021. It is not clear when and which platform the game will be released on.
